Thoughts & Inspiration

God has shown me during the last year how simple the gospel is. It is valuable, and everyone needs to hear it. It is prideful of me to keep it to myself.

The kingdom of God is like a playground, you can explore and have fun, or you can sit on the stairs and look around. The World Race guided me through the playground to experience even more of the wonders of God’s creation and life in His Kingdom.

Life is short, God puts us in community for a reason, so I choose to dive deep with trust. Yes, I was kinda stuck with 26 people for 11 months, but we were committed to each other. God showed me how to love each other after first loving Him. God reminded me to be even more vulnerable with my last team, and it made a huge difference.

People are made in the image of God and are so unique. I want to pick everyone’s brain and learn from them, especially in how they pursue the Lord. I can make friends with anyone.

I don’t want to take scripture for granted. There is so much to learn, and it’s a gift of God. I want God’s word to be written onto my heart.

Jesus saved my life. In response to that, everything I have I give back to Him in gratitude. What do I have to lose? I am not ashamed of the gospel or what my life may look like.

Those are just some of my thoughts as I wrap up debrief and fly back to Oregon.

Not my will, but His,

Sarah

  4. I am so excited to hear that you are home. I know you had an amazing experience loving, serving and teaching people the gospel. When you devote your life to God, that light in you influences others around you. It brings a special kind of peace to your heart. You were an amazing person before your trip, and I know this experience only strengthened who you are.
